Adjunct Faculty Positions
Capella University's School of Education is hiring adjunct faculty in the following areas of specialization:
- Instructional Design for Online Learning
- Nursing Education
Responsibilities:
Adjunct faculty are part-time faculty who serve as independent contractors in the School of Education. Adjunct faculty teach graduate course in the core and specialty curriculum, mentor graduate students in their specialty area, and serve as residency faculty at academic sessions. They serve on School and program committees and share full voting privileges in academic matters. With members of the full-time core faculty, adjunct faculty are responsible for assuring the student's educational experiences are consistent with prevailing standards.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications - Instructional Design for Online Learning
- PhD or EdD from a regionally accredited institution required
- College level teaching experience of 3 years or more.
- Must have online instructional experience.
Preferred Qualifications - Instructional Design for Online Learning
- Interest in and commitment to teaching in an online environment
- Proficient in the use of Internet tools
Required Qualifications - Nursing Education
- PhD or EdD from a regionally accredited institution required
- Master's in nursing
- Current RN
- College level teaching experience of 3 years or more
Preferred Qualifications - Nursing Education
- Online instructional experience.
- Interest in and commitment to teaching in an online environment
