The School of Business and Technology at Capella University is seeking adjunct faculty for online teaching positions. The School offers seven graduate degrees: MS in Human Resource Management, MS in Organizational Development, MS in Organization and Management, MS in Technology, MBA, PhD in Organization and Management, and PhD in Information Technology. Several specializations are available in each degree program. In all programs, we seek faculty who are accomplished scholars and practitioners and who have an earned doctoral degree.
Currently, we are seeking applications for three specializations in the MS and PhD Technology degree programs.
MS in Information Technology
Electronic recordkeeping and patient privacy mandates have created an increased demand for IT professionals in health care settings. The curriculum follows the model curriculum of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) and was developed to align with the criteria of the Commission on Accreditation for Health Information and Information Management (CAHIIM).
We are seeking faculty with expertise in the following areas.
Capella University's Information Assurance and Security Specialization is designed around the domains of knowledge in the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification. Capella is one of the select four-year colleges and graduate-level universities designated as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education (CAEIAE) by the National Security Agency and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
We are seeking faculty with expertise in the following areas.
PhD in Information Technology
Data and system security have become critical concerns in nearly every industry and government sector, creating a demand for high-level information security expertise. Capella University's Information Security PhD specialization provides opportunities for advanced skill development and doctoral research in such topics as information confidentiality, integrity, governance, compliance, and risk management.
In addition to online teaching, adjunct faculty teaching in the PhD program serve as Faculty Mentors to doctoral learners.
