Reed A. Watson, MBA
Reed A. Watson, who joined Capella Education Company in 2006, serves as the company’s senior vice president, markets & marketing. Prior to joining Capella, he was vice president, consumer strategy & insights, for Select Comfort Corporation, a NASDAQ-listed mattress and bedding company, from 2005 to 2006. From 2002 to 2005, he was president of Watson Management Consulting, a privately held management consulting firm, and from 1999 to 2001 served as executive vice president-chief marketing officer of SimonDelivers.com, a privately held online grocery company. Watson's prior experience also includes serving in various executive positions in marketing and general management for companies including Recovery Engineering Inc., The Pillsbury Company, and Kraft Foods, Inc. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from Northwestern University and his Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.
