Capella University Master's and PhD Students to Gather in Dallas Aug. 2–7
The online university currently hosts eight residential colloquia each year for its online graduate students
MINNEAPOLIS, July 30, 2008 -- Capella University, an accredited*, online university, will host a colloquium in Dallas beginning August 2 to more than 1,000 PhD and master’s online degree students at the Hyatt Regency Dallas.
Each year, Capella holds approximately eight residential colloquia, during which the online university's students meet with colleagues and faculty in six days of lectures and academic seminars to analyze and discuss specific topics within their degree specializations. Every Capella PhD student and some master's degree students are required to attend colloquia, which are held at locations throughout the United States. Of the more than 23,400 students pursuing an online degree at Capella, approximately 85 percent are pursuing PhD or master's degrees.
The Dallas colloquium will feature guest speaker Dr. Beatrice Berry speaking on: “Change and Transformation: No Obstacle is Too Great to Overcome.”
